Born and raised in Smithers, Nicki is pleased to have the opportunity to pursue her passion for Real Estate.
Having developed an early interest, Nicki started her journey with Calderwood as a high-school intern for Jeremy Penninga. After two summers of measuring, photographing, and shredding paper, Jeremy encouraged her to follow in his footsteps at BCIT.
The Professional Real Estate DipIT program at BCIT pushed and challenged Nicki to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The program's hands-on approach taught her not only the education but the life skills of developing relationships, meeting deadlines, building confidence, and staying organized.
Since graduating from BCIT in 2013, Nicki has specialized in rural, recreational, and residential Real Estate all over Northern BC. Having first taken a position with LandQuest Realty, Nicki was given an opportunity to return to Smithers and mentor with Denis Dore. As Denis was nearing retirement it was the perfect transition for Nicki to learn the ropes from an experienced Realtor while he encouraged her to take more of the frontline role with their clients.
After 3 years of gallivanting the country-side of Northern BC, Nicki realized her passion lied closer to home with residential Real Estate. In 2016, Nicki started back with Calderwood and has been enjoying helping her friends and family buy and sell homes since. Developing these lasting relationships is what keeps her energized in this hectic industry.
Outside of work, Nicki enjoys spending her time with her husband and daughter. As a family they enjoy outdoor activities. Winters are filled with skiing, snowboarding, and hockey. While fishing of all kinds consume the warmer months; lake, fly, and ocean!
Nicki also has a creative-side which she explores with up-cycling/building furniture and some pretty epic party planning! Did someone say House-Warming?!
